--> Your 2025 Manifesto | Art of Adversity

As 2024 wraps up, I’ve been reflecting on the year that was and looking forward to what 2025 might be.

As this is a great time for fresh starts, it’s clear (statistically) that there’s something fundamentally wrong with New Year’s resolutions.

We tend to focus too much on the “what” (I want to get fit, I want to be more productive) but don’t spend enough time on the “why” behind those floppy goals which leaves us with floppy results.

The biggest problem with new years resolutions is a simple one.

So this time, we can approach things differently by creating a manifesto for 2025.

This is a declaration of purpose.

It’s a written, clear reminder of your “why” and the values you want to carry into the year ahead.

Because when you figure out those details, you create clarity. And more clarity allows you to pick up on the clues, gifts, and the occasional subtle miracles that might not be obvious otherwise.

Here’s a simple template to help you craft your own manifesto for 2025:

Create Your Own Manifesto for 2025

  • I am setting out to: (Verb: explore, reconnect, create, discover, etc.)
  • This year is about: (Value or goal: embracing simplicity, living boldly, prioritizing health, etc.)
  • I am leaving behind: (What you’re moving away from: perfectionism, isolation, fear of failure, procrastination, etc.)
  • My 2025 is my: (Symbolic metaphor: compass, guide, teacher, etc.)
  • Guiding me to: (Personal dream or aspiration: inner peace, growth, deeper connection, etc.)
  • Along the way, I will learn to: (Skill or value: trust myself, embrace discomfort, honor my needs, etc.)
  • And [verb]: (Grow, create, connect, nurture, etc.)
  • Through: (Challenges or emotions: uncertainty, moments of doubt, change, etc.)
  • I vow to: (Personal commitment: live with intention, stay grounded, stay present, etc.)
  • And honour: (Value: authenticity, courage, connection, etc.)
  • As I [verb]: (Live, create, explore, evolve, etc.)
  • My deepest values are: (e.g., integrity, adventure, peace, sustainability)

I’d really like to hear what you come up with. Reply to this email and share your manifesto, or just let me know what’s one key word or phrase you’ll focus on this year.

Thank you for being part of Zero Point. Let’s make 2025 the best year yet… because we really can do that.

Cheers,
Jeff
